Marketing Strategy

TRANSPARENCY:

Pursuant to the SRA's rules on transparency, we give below an outline of fees charged by this firm and the basis upon which they are calculated where they cannot be fixed at the outset:-

CONVEYANCING: (fees in Pound Sterling - VAT is applicable to all of our fees and to some disbursements)

RESIDENTIAL

Our minimum fee for the sale or purchase of Sale Purchase
a freehold dwelling house is £720.00    £740.00
between £125,000 & £250,000 £740.00    £760.00
between £250,001 & £500,000 £770.00    £790.00
between £500,000 & £1m £850.00    £950.00
above £1m minimum fee £1,300.00 £1,500.00
NB for the sale or purchase of leasehold Residential property add £90.00 plus vat


COMMERCIAL

Sale Purchase
Minimum fee for a sale or purchase £1,000.00 £1,200.00


COMMERCIAL LEASES

Minimum fee £1,200.00 - variable upon the length and terms of the Lease
NB Conveyancing fees are reviewed annually in April of each year

In addition to our fees we charge an Administration fee of £35.00 plus vat for each telegraphic transfer of funds, and an Administration fee of £25.00 plus vat for electronic registration of title at the Land Registry (where possible resulting in a lower Land Registry fee being payable) and an Administration fee of £20.00 plus vat in arranging any Indemnity Insurance Policy that is necessary.

Disbursements including Search fees, Land Registry fees and Stamp Duty Land Tax may also be payable.


WILLS:

For a single standard Will our minimum fee is £250.00 plus vat.
For mirror Wills (eg husband and wife) £350.00 plus vat.

For complex Wills our fees are based on the amount of time spent at the following fee rates

Paul Burgoyne £200.00 plus vat.
Chloe Burgoyne £200.00 plus vat.
Maneer Ahmed £200.00 plus vat.
Charlotte Knight £175.00 plus vat.


PROBATE:

Our minimum fee for obtaining a Grant of Probate £800.00 plus vat.
or Letters of Administration is £800.00 plus vat.
In complex estates or where Inheritance Tax is payable - at the hourly rates above mentioned but with a minimum fee of £1,500.00 plus vat.


All charges are subject to change should the matter prove more difficult than expected although it is our policy not to vary our fixed fees unless absolutely necessary and then only after consultation with our client.

On abortive transactions we generally make only a nominal charge dependent upon the extent of work undertaken at the time.
